I feel like if you’re only using it in a hammock, 50” should be fine for you if you feel the current wide is too much. I’m 6’1”, 165 and use a wide because I also sleep on the ground. I, same as you, feel it’s more than I need for hanging though.

I am 6'5", 240 pounds, and I use a 64" wide topquilt. It's still not quite wide enough for me, only because I am a restless sleeper. It's only a problem when it is quite cold (near to, or below freezing), as small drafts make a big difference. For that reason I am looking at a "double wide" quilt that I can really tuck underneath me and/or close up like a sleeping bag and not feel confined.

I picked up a 50" burrow and just slept my first night in it this weekend. I had my dog with me so it was hard to get a solid read on the width conundrum, but I think it will be fine. I didnt have any issues with it being too skinny, however I did notice it was easier to untuck the quilt from under me. I'll report back after a few more nights with the 50".

Gota say though, I love HG's 10D fabric. Its silk smooth. One of the best feeling UL fabrics around
