Showing off my galvanised pipe stand

Alright so I'm in social housing here in the UK and while I'm allowed to decorate, hang shelves, generally get away with a lot more than I could in a private rental, I'm pretty sure they'd have something to say about me hanging from the walls.. not to mention it's a new-build apartment block anyway, and finding usable studs in here has been an actual nightmare.

So I figured I could work with the "portable" pipe stand diagram from the Ultimate Hang... Our pipes are sold by the metre, so each of the main pipes are around 6-7" longer, but otherwise it's the same design. Went with 2" pipe, for aesthetics mostly, as the stand won't need to be moved - but that's resulted in a super sturdy beast of a stand. I had to remove the lampshade & bulb + a guitar holder from that left wall, so that I could tip it up onto its feet once it was constructed. it's not going anywhere!

    Top rail 2 x 2m
    Uprights 2m each
    Feet 4x 0.6m

Waiting on a La Siesta Carolina, that's just a wee Vivere, in the pic.

Hoping this will last a while, but as I saw circusfreak's stunning built-in hang setup the day after I ordered all these pipes, i already know what my next upgrade will look like, hahaha.

Nice build! Very non-intrusive with the foot design and the high top rail. Well done!

Nice job...don’t worry, it will last FOREVER
I built two of them...one for the basement, and one for the backyard.

The pipe blended in so well that I thought it was part of the structure. Well done.

Thanks everyone! Yeah, that it almost hugs the walls is a big part of why i chose this type of stand, but I'm still kinda surprised by how well it blends into the room. Glad to hear it'll hold up!
