Hi!
I'm hangin' indoors in Edinburgh, because it's comfy, and because makes sense in my small home.
Have just this evening upgraded my stand to one of the DIY galvanised pipe jobs, will post some pics in the DIY thread soon. Nice to meet you all!

Welcome from South Carolina. I have a lot of family in Scotland - some Edinburgh but mostly Aberdeen. Milne & Greig families.

Welcome from Oklahoma, My mothers' side of the family is from Scotland- Sands. I'm hanging for the same reasons.
Welcome to the forum! Great stuff here for all sorts of hangers.

Howdy from Salt Lake City, Utah. I have been an indoor hanger since 2009 and as yourself space is a constraint. Since wife has her room, I have my room set up with a square tube steel frame I welded together. (Retired coded welder here) I made it so it can be taken down and moved easily from place to place. Happy Hanging.
Thanks for the welcome, everyone! I know people with all these surnames, hahaha.. but likely that's just as they're not uncommon! You two might even be more Scottish than me, since I was adopted here from England (gasp!) Been here since age 11 though, so no doubt I'll sound more Scots. Mostly I've lived a bit further North, up in Perthshire, but never as far up as Aberdeen. We used to have a David Sands chain of local shops around Perthshire, though, that I think were also in Fife. I think they were bought out a few years after I came to Edin, but I used to work the 6am shift in one of them, setting up the bakery counter.
I've only been danglin' since the start of this year when my bed needed replaced & I decided to shake things up a bit. I have a connective tissue disorder, & the hammock is making a massive difference to my quality of sleep, so far, though. Can't see me going back to a bed!
Welcome. I’ve been to Edinburgh 4 times and love your country. I never got to hang there.

Welcome!
My sister and brother-in-law live in Edinburgh and my wife and I have visited them and my nephew & niece a couple years back.
Loved the town, we walked from pub to pub being careful not to wear any "SOCCER" team colors... lol!
My Bro-In-Law told me about the "Right to Roam" (I'm probably misquoting the actual term's name) but it fascinated me! He said it was allowed to hike even across private property if you were a rover... is this true?
The hills were visible from his condo and were calling to be explored. I don't know where you'd hang a hammock up there but still was beautiful and calling you to go.
