Hey all, newbie here. Is it OK to attach the dogbones of my bridge hammock directly to a biner? Pic attached.
Previously the dogbones were attached to a continuous loop.
Thanks!

Good to go
Carabiner should be rated for use by hammock campers.
Doesn’t need to be as highly rated as a climbing carabiner, but should be stronger than a carabiner on shelf at Walmart.
Dutch and other cottage vendors sell carabiners that are weight rated for hammock suspensions.
I sure hope so! I have a bridge hammock (RR) and the same Dutch Biners used in the same way...let us know if you have an issue!
Though Dutch Biners are lighter, the light carabiners WarBonnet sells, in a addition to whoopie slings, also work for daisy chain. And they are less expensive. If you are going for the lightest and using whoopie sling, the DutchWare is the way to go. But the gate/size of that titanium biner might not work well for something larger than Amsteel. Note that though the WB carabiners have a completely adequate Load Rating for hammocks, they are not engineered for rock climbing. You wouldn’t want to take 30 ft air time on one. Actually, you wouldn’t want to take 30 ft air time on anything. Unless your a skydiver. But then you’d probably want more than 30 ft.
In order to see what few have seen, you must go where few have gone. And DO what few have done.
