I just sold a WBBB XLC and wookie that I used on both the WB and a DH Sparrow, see earlier posts on how to use an inner tube stretchy to increase the length if needed. The reason I sold it is I realized how much I prefer symmetrical hammocks that let me roam in a wide variety of positions. As a nightly hammock sleeper that became very important. I have several UQ that will allow the flexibility to use with a symmetrical GE, a Hammocktent 90, or even a WBRR if I still had one. I had both the WBBB XLC and Wookie for a number of years as a primary backpacking GE, albeit I preferred the Hammocktent 90 Gamma. The WBBB XLC and Wookie are quality hammocks and construction is superb. I just couldn't envision not having the flexibility of a symmetrical hammock with a conventional UQ.

Well, there is always the option to get a symmetrical Trailwinder underquilt unless you want to save weight. But if you want to save as much weight as possible, you're probably not insisting on a symmetrical lay.

Hi Hutzelbin, the symmetrical lay flexibility takes precedence over weight for me. I have several UQ that will work with a symmetrical hammock. Right now I have a Cedar Ridge 850 FP 20* Long Wide that I picked up of the FS forum. I'm very happy with how it is working with a symmetrical Sparrow and a Trail Lair 12'. When it comes to times that weight is an issue I go with my Hammocktent 90 degree. Plus, my Chameleon Cloud 71 just arrived and I set it up. It is super light weight, but I discovered that I messed up on the layer colors, i.e. inside is the color I wanted on the outside. But it is extremely light.
