Move Ridgeline from gathered end to carabiner?

I prefer to have my Ridgeline at the carabiner to get more height between me and the line. Like in the picture. My question is where the "83%" length is most usually refered to?

Let's say hammock is 10.5ft carabiner to carabiner. Should the Ridgeline be 8.7 between the carabiners then or 8.7 at the gathered ends?

83% of where you measure from/where you will attach the ridgeline..... Those should be the same place.
