My friends and I set out on a 20 mile loop around the Pharaoh Lakes Wilderness in the Adirondacks. We started at Crane Pond Rd Trailhead with a -4 temps. Finally cold enough to use my RBH VaprThrm clothing. The trail was mostly unbroken and beautiful the whole day. We ended up at Rock Pond the first night with a low of 2. I luckily planned ahead and parked a bailout car at Putnam Pond Campground which one of us needed. Two of us hiked him out the the car while the other two continued on to Pharaoh Lake past Grizzle Ocean. My friend and I then hiked into the Pharaoh Lake from Crane Pond to meet them. Unbroken trail from where we split off on day 1. So peaceful and surprising that no one had been out there! 2 Dutchware Cloud 71's on this trip!
