    Cold Weather Camping

How cold would be dangerous to camp with 'average' starter backpacking gear? I have a Clostnature sleeping pad (https://www.amazon.com/Self-Inflatin.../dp/B07Q2PGG8Z),
    a single-person Wise Owl Hammock, (https://www.wiseowloutfitters.com/co...gleowl-hammock),
a sleeping bag rated 45* (similar to this: https://www.academy.com/shop/pdp/mag...tSku=108856724),
    a +12 degree fleece liner (https://www.amazon.com/Sleeping-Ultr...-goods&sr=1-20),
a 100% polyester blanket (really old, link unavailable.),
    fleece-lined thermal underwear (https://www.amazon.com/Womens-Therma...-goods&sr=1-11),
100% polyester pajamas to layer on top of the thermal underwear,
    a fleece vest,
    merino wool socks,
    synthetic flip-top gloves,
    a C. C. beanie,
and possibly a synthetic puffy coat.
I have slept comfortably in 25-30 degree weather, but considering a trip with one night in the teens. From your experience, would this be sufficient, or should I push it to another (warmer) week?

That's a whole lotta stuff to haul out and layer up. I couldn't imagine trying to get up in the middle of the night to water the trees, much less get back into it all. Me? Ima say 60F.

But since you said you've pushed it to 25-30F but wanna try for the teens...go for it. Just make sure you have a bailout plan just in case. How far is the site from your vehicle?

I was considering a 3 night loop, but only the middle night is supposed to drop into the teens. None of the gear is especially heavy, and on my previous trip, I carried all of it (with the exception of the puffy coat) and my total pack weight (including food) was about 23 pounds. Would you consider dry weather with this gear but with temperatures as low as 16 degrees safer, or a day with snow/ rain possible, but temps between 45 and 30 degrees Fahrenheit?
I also have a Wise Owl Rain Fly that I will be carrying. (https://www.wiseowloutfitters.com/co...efly-rain-tarp)

Never know unless you try. Have a fire set and some wood banked to warm up if you get too cold.
Consider a hot water bottle in the hammock with you.
I think you will be alright since you say you've done 25º.
Be warm when you go to sleep...don't go to sleep cold.
    Good luck and carry forth.
