Anyone else having issues with pad noise with the amok draumr?

I’ve slept a few nights in the amok draumr XL and find it very comfortable but also find the pad noise when moving/turning. Anyone else having this? I use the fjol XL winterlight pad. Anyone try to put a liner on the pad to reduce noise?

It is just gonna happen. Try not to focus on it too much.

The noisy material is the reflective sheeting inside the air mat so a liner isn't going to help.

However, I have it on good authority that a 15 mile hike with a few thousand feet of vertical will totally eliminate it.

yeah, it's definitely a thing with insulated pads

honestly, you get past it pretty quick once you find that sweet sweet spot

I know what you mean about the reflective sheeting, but I think the source in my case is something else. The noise went way down when I wrapped the pad in a fleece sheet before I stuffed it in the hammock pad sleeve. I think it’s coming from the outside of the pad rubbing on the inner of the hammock pad sleeve.

Seems the fleece is damping the sound. But fleece is heavy and bulky!

Yeah, I don’t plan to use that solution on a hike but it worked great camping in my lanai!
