    Here's my lightest setup: https://www.lighterpack.com/r/hnlqgx

No bug net, but that's the advantage of living in Colorado where bugs just aren't a problem.

Just over 4 pounds for hammock, tarp and quilts. Could be lighter, but I like the larger tarp.

Jealous about your lack of bugs, but not jealous of the insane cold you’ve got there right now! Stay warm!

The cool part about being see-through is it’s easy to see any gaps in you UQ setup. That’s what I like about my Monolite DIY hammock

Happy to send a list. I'm not a rich man, but I buy the best I can. Good stuff is usually cheaper in the long run.

    >Do you have the DCF or silpoly tarp?<

DCF. Very light and, after you've used it a bit, packs down pretty small.

How hard was it to make? Did you incorporate quilt hooks, tieouts, or bug net?

Warbonnet Ridgerunner w/carbon fiber spreader bars
Hammock Gear Palace w/carbon fiber tarp poles for tie outs
    6 Easton aluminum stakes.

Most comfortable sleep on trail. I switched between 40* and 20* quilts so that weight varied a bit but overall base weight was about 11 lbs +/-.

Did you order the Palace with the selection that it would be used for a bridge hammock? Wondering if I should check that box so I could use the tarp with either bridge or gathered end.

I didn’t do anything special like that. Just sewed a 1/2 hem on the sides and a 3 inch double hem at the top and bottom to put my CL through. With 4 yards of material, makes an 11 ft hammock. It’s straight forward and have been making this type of hammock for each one of our scouts that become an Eagle Scout

Have you ever made a tarp?
