    Reversing Yeti UQs?

I ordered a Warbonnet Yeti last week, along with a Chameleon. I'm sure I'll be happy with the standard lay that the Yeti is designed to match. I was wondering though if it's possible to flip the Yeti upside down to allow it to switch to the opposite lay. Would that work at all? Would it end up with a poor fit to the bottom of the hammock? This is really more of a theoretical question, but I was curious.

I think it'd be a poor fit for two reasons: first, it is cut for a head-left feet-right lay, and second there are "draft collars" on the side against the hammock. It might work some, but probably won't work well.

I just learned something. I always thought the Yeti was a "No frills" underquilt. I didn't think it had draft collars or even cinch cords to adjust the gaps on the ends. I thought it was a minimalist underquilt. Good to know.

Absolutely not, unless it is warm weather maybe. The Yeti has a differential cut, meaning the inside shell is smaller than the outside shell. This is to allow snugging the inner shell tight up against the back without compressing the down, by leaving the outer layer loose. If you hang with it the outer layer against your back, you will almost certainly compress the down and loose most of the insulation.
