Hey guys been out of it for years, just trying to get my head around my old gear to understand what I got when I was into it and why?
Can anyone point me to the manufacturer please cheers. 7977A73D-979D-4609-B156-E2735B19D836.jpeg

Clark NX-250, Warbonnet Superfly, Custom made Down, Underground Underquilt. DIY Suspension & Continuous Ridgeline.
It seems this is arborist rigging ring or thimble ring .IMHO not a hammock specific gear.

That looks to be the ring that came with Clark Hammocks back when they were suspended with ropes. They may be collector items now.
If you prepare for failure you will probably succeed.
Descender rings suspension setup. Was a thing not sure how many people still use. Common item that was adapted to hammocking for a time.
Yep, descender rings and some of us "old timers" still use them

I tried them. Forgot to tie the safety knot. They slipped & dropped me. Immediately removed them & replaced with cinch buckles. They reside in my junk box now.

I agree those are some sort of arborist block. It has a thickness so a line could be wrapped to act as a pulley or to apply tension. They are not a true "ring" as shown in Shugs video

Yup. Arborist rigging ring, not a climber's descender ring.
They came with Clark N270 hammocks.
