VIDEO: Quick Overnight on the Rhode Island/Connecticut Border

I recently received an order of Dutchware bling and a winter sock. I wanted to give them a test run before my next hiking trip up in the White Mountains. I was very pleased with tarp setup using the wasps and fleaz. Very easy to use and burying my stakes in the snow worked like a charm. I screwed up the order of the ridgeline and had to improvise a rather sad one. So I'll need to work on that. There was a bit of sleet during the night but no wind so I didn't end up needing the sock thankfully.

Temps were in the upper 20s so not particularly cold - I was cozy as can be though I woke up a little chilly at 2 PM. But after taking care of business and eating a bar I settled back in and fell asleep for several more hours before waking up at 6 AM. All in all a good test of gear and skills. Once I figure out the ridgeline business I'll be in good shape!

Nice. I love the winter and snow. Kudos keeping boot insole with you in hammock And under your quilts. It really does make a world of a difference when you have to put frozen boots on in the morning!.

Definitely made for a better boot experience! I think I'll try putting hand warmers in the boots in the morning as well to warm them a bit too.
