    @Missileman thanks for the info! Not that I have the cloud 71 to worry about now but good to know all the same.

    For anyone who is interested in this fabric it is awesome stuff and the short time I used it I had no worries about it holding me after the first time I laid in it. Very surprising how solid it felt with little stretch. I think my experience was just one of those things that happens on the trail.

    Yes, but thank you for sharing it. It didn’t scare me away from the fabric, but it highlighted its vulnerabilities. I usually just stuff my hammock in my pack loose, with everything else, but this one is definitely getting its own stuff sack!

    I appreciate that you shared your unfortunate experience with HF. It definitely was a heads up for me and I took some mitigation measures and I'm more attentive to details (yes, I know, that's hard to believe) since you reported the incident.
