Folks,
When I was a ground dweller, winter camping was out of the question for me. I'd been in cold (no snow) weather in a tent before and no way was I going to try ice and snow.
I just spent my first night sleeping in a hammock during a snow storm. Just magical watching it come down the last few hours of the day. It got down to 27 and I was warm and comfortable all night. I was glad to finally test my gear closer to its lower limit.
This is such a rich activity - no matter the season being able to enjoy nature in complete comfort is such a game changer for exploring the outdoors. So glad that I discovered hammock camping.
