    They won't wear out. I've had plain 1" poly webbing on my indoor hammock continuously for 6 years.

    You can get plain poly webbing from the hardware store for pennies per foot. Get a couple of $2 strap adjusters and that's all you will ever need for indoor hanging.

    You want to avoid metal on metal though. They grind after long periods of use, and often make annoying scraping sounds when weighted. Strap is light, quiet, and tough.

    After reading all the replies I think I'll just use my current straps until I get a secondary set strictly for indoor hangs. Luckily I was able to cancel my order on the chains.
