Can I use my webbing straps for trees on an indoor hook off the wall?

I'm installing anchor hooks on my wall to hang inside cuz it's freezing here. But I don't have chains to hang off the hooks yet. I've ordered some but they will take some time to get here.

I do have my Kammok Python 10' tree straps though. They're a daisy chain design.

Will it be safe if I use the straps to hang off the anchor? I'm using eye bolts in the walls and using climbing rated biners to attach the straps to my hammock's continuous loops.

I'm thinking of looping the straps through both the eye screws and the continuous loops. Since it's an indoor hang I don't mind using more hardware than if I were out in the woods if needed.

This image for reference to how I'm thinking of securing my straps.

    Think it'll work?[AIMG][/AIMG]

How about hooking that daisy chain strap to the eye bolt with 'biners?

I was thinking that, just a 'biner through one of the daisy chains then attach that to the eye screws, and then another 'biner to attach to the hammock.

Will that be strong enough? Normally the tree strap is wrapped around a tree, now it'll just be clipped in to the anchor, should be strong enough still right?

The question is will your anchor point at the wall be strong enough. If it is, then you can attach to it with your typical suspension options. I personally hang indoors attached to my wall studs with the ENO indoor hanging kit and I attach to the carabineers with a whoopie sling.

Awesome thanks! Appreciate the responses everyone!

I'll make sure to install my anchor points properly and use the biners/tree straps until I get my chains.

Sure. Basically the same connection on each end of the strap. As unshavenman points out, make sure your wall anchor is up to the task.

Why bother with chains? You're all set!

I would not bother with chains either. Noisy, grindy, and annoying. Stick with straps. Just the way you have in the picture is fine.

That's a good point, the chains would be noisy. I'm just worried I'll wear out my straps, and they're the only pair I've got.

I'm planning on mainly sleeping in my hammock once it's up, and I go camping often outside of the winter months - so if I use the same suspension at home most nights and take it with me camping will I wear them out? I wouldn't want my suspension failing on me in the outback.

You could use some form of soft shackles where it connects to the eye bolt, then any wear would be on that if you're worried about it.
