    Super excited about this material.

Now I just have to decide on regular vs wide width. I'm only 5'9/160lbs, but read that wide hammocks can be more comfortable. As someone that has a ton of trouble falling asleep (in tents at least, haven't really tried hammocks), do you guys think a wide would help?

Something to be mindful about when ordering a wide hammock: the width may offer a flatter lay by increasing the available diagonal, but remember your underquilt is a fixed width.

While your hammock fabric may be wide, your UQ may not offer the same width - meaning your feet may have trouble with staying on the UQ the wider you push them outward.

I’ve found that lying at a ~15° diagonal angle is flat enough for my body to feel as flat as I need while not compromising the utility of the UQ.

    What Jolly says is spot-on.

FYI, I'm 5-9/170 and find 11'/52" (Dutchware Chameleon) very comfortable. I have shorter hammocks, specifically DH Dariens that are 10'/64" width, and they are very comfortable as well. But with the typical UQ widths I wouldn't want to go a lot wider with the hammocks themselves.

Cloud DL Chameleon arrived this evening. I will set up tomorrow in place of the Sparrow for a test run. I sleep nightly in a hammock. Currently after all the nights in GEs I still find my Hammocktent 90 the most comfortable for sleeping. It has drawbacks like not being as quick and easy to enter/leave but I sleep the soundest both on my back and side in it. However, there is nothing as easy peasey and comfortable as lounging in the Sparrow as my couch for naps or watching movies on the computer. It is on a stand that I can easily move about the room. The Cloud Chameleon is going to be run through the testing gamut in place of the Sparrow. Albeit, the primary reason for purchasing the Cloud Chameleon is as a backpacking replacement for the SL WBBB XLC.

If it helps I'm pretty sure this material isn't available in a wide width. Yet.

Mine came and I set it up to discover that I had flipped color choices because I made assumptions instead of paying close attention to the menu. I like it and now have a new one again on the way and am selling my mess up on CL, ebay, or HF. Why do I have to make life more difficult?

Considering pulling trigger on cloud 71 chameleon! How are you finding the DL chameleon vs sparrow? How packable is it compared to hexon? Is it still translucent with dual layer?

    So many questions!
    Thanks in advance
