I do intend to start doing more lake walking. We were going to move camp for day 3 but just liked this camp too much to do the hustle....

Right, if one has a nice spot and setup, it takes a lot of emotions to move on from a nice fireplace

I haven't done much winter hiking. In the past (decades ago), my winter hiking was done while hunting and that was in the woods. I had noticed that instead of going through the woods you went across the water. Something that makes sense but I hadn't thought of. Have you hiked and camped at some of the islands that you wouldn't have access too during the warmer months?

From snowmobiling years ago, I know going across lakes and ponds can be a lot of fun, but you are also exposed to the wind and on windy days, I looked forward to getting back into the woods while sledding.

We did visit a few places on one island and point. Sorta doable but would have taken work to get some good hang sites. Many tent on the lake ice up there.

Perfect pulking and pulk poles are paramount~~~
Lake pulking is nice. Still a bit of work but less than on trails.

I really liked this video Sean. I got tingles when you were singing from your diaphragm during a song on there. DNg it was sweet!!! I really liked how the video was playing under the singing man that was a jam duder!! What is a great album blue grass to get as an intro blue grass boy to try to play along with?
    That was a sweet videA

    Thanks BB.
Listen to any of the classic bluegrass artists like Bill Monroe, The Stanley Brother, Flatt and Scruggs, Jimmy Martin. That will give the essential feel.
