    whoopie sling help

I got a pair of whoopie slings many years ago that didn't have a bead to prevent the whoopies from getting sucked into itself. Well, one of the whoopies got sucked into itself. I can't seem to get it out. Anyone have any advice ?

Use a needle and thread to try pulling it out. Try putting a small zip tie on if you get it out. That will keep it from happening again. If you don't get it out send me a PM.

Is the bead still doing its job to keep the loop open a smidge? (Or did it get sucked into the splice)

    Misread that earlier...

    Some TLC can fix it....
Having something like a small knitting needle might be helpful.

You will need to loosen the outer part of the splice to pull it back through....

Depends on how deep it got pulled in. If you can still see the beginning of the adjustable eye, it's possible to pull it back out. If the bury has started to be pulled into itself, you basically created a back splice. I have never been able to undo one of those although I tried hard.

Cant say I’ve ever fixed a whoopie sling that got pulled all way into itself.
    If I tried
    First thing to do
Compact the length of the outer bury or sheath.
Do this by pushing-squeezing both ends of outer bury towards its middle.
This will tend to loosen its grip on amsteel that is inside.

While working inner bury out, be careful not to pull on outer bury. If you pull outer bury, the whoopie can re-constrict around inner bury, tightening its grip.

    In case of a fail
It’s always fun to buy or make new whoopie slings
