I own both and like the XLC but I simply never use it any longer since getting my RidgeRunner. I've been using it for several years and it's simply the only hammock I now use. I got so tired of calf ridge most likely because of a setup issue and messing with an ever shifting under quilt. The Ridge Runner is one of the simplest hammocks to setup and use. While some may say it weights too much I would carry this hammock if it weighted 5lbs as it's just that easy and comfortable to me.

Never really experienced much calf ridge. Except the first nights slightly in a search for the right hammock setup. I am using the XLC double layer heavyweight, perhaps the most comfortable XLC.
Anyone experience with both the lightweight-double XLC and the heavyweight-double XLC ?

I use two double-layer ridgerunners year-round. Only rarely do I ever sleep in a bed anymore. One for outside and one for inside. The double-layer accommodates up to a 3-inch foam pad hence no need for a UQ ever. The ultimate is "The Beast" by Wilderness Innovation. Bulky for backpacking but great for car camping. Versatile for any situation...ground, hammock, cot, car. Pricey but worth it.

I always sleep so well in the XLC that I already thought about changing my bed with a hammock

I have a hammock in my bedroom. The only reason I ever sleep in my bed is to sleep with my old cat.

I need a hammock in my bedroom
Already searched the web for quality hammock stands but that usually only for “garden” hammocks.
Another item on my wish list.

I use a hammock stand when sleeping over at my parents' house. Luckily they don't mind me partially taking over the upstairs because that thing is bulky. At my house I use the adjustable wall anchors from Dutchware. They work well, but obviously require putting holes in your walls.
