Compression Sacks for quilts

Just a quick question for those of you packing TQ and UQ. What stuff sacks is everyone using to compress their down quilts into their packs ?
Im using the stuff sacks that came with my Hammock Gear quilts but they take up so much room in my pack, that i need something with compeession straps to really save some space.

I’m using SealLine Blocker Compression dry sacks. Most of my trips involve canoeing or kayaking, so the “dry” part is important. I got a 10 L bag for each quilt (@ 4.4 oz/bag) - it’s nowhere near the struggle to put my quilts in these as it was to put them in the supplied stuff sacks (which I can now repurpose).

I kayak some of our camp trips so I just use Sea to Summit compression dry bags.
I haven't found a reason to not use them on other trips being that we are mostly vehicle based (overlanding) or bike, so I don't need to go UL.

I use these from Granite Gear. I got one large enough to put both my TQ & UQ in. Works great.

My TQ and UQ are both 20. I think I have the 18 liter compression sack, which is a perfect fit. I believe they make up to a 25 liter sack if you needed a little more room. I like these sacks because they are very lightweight, water resistant, and are rectangular-shaped so they fit easily down in the bottom of my pack.

No stuff sacks here. Have you tried just sticking the quilts into the bottom of your pack and piling the heavier stuff on top of them? Often times the heavier stuff will compress the quilts down quite well and it saves you the extra weight of putting each thing in an individual stuff sack. It sounds counterintuitive, I know, but it actually works. If you are concerned about moisture, you can use a contractor bag as a pack liner.

If you really really need a compression sack, the sea to summit compression socks work pretty well and are relatively light weight

Totally agree. Additional advantages is that the quilt(s) only get as compressed as they need to be, which is good for the quilt(s); you avoid the weight penalty of the compression sacks, which can be 1-2 oz each.
