    Is Bushwack Still 30D?

I recently received a new Bushwack Thunderfly and when I weighed it today it is 13.4oz which is the listed weight of their 20D silpoly Thunderfly. I knew they had a 20D Bushwack but it was only DWR treated and was used for quilts and the like and the 2000mm fabric was 30D with the 20D silpoly only being available in solid colors. I'm not complaining about a lower than listed weight but it did make me curious, are the Bushwack tarps 20D now?

I decided to email them and ask, I doubt I'll hear back before Monday but I'll share my findings once I do.

Yes. Their silpoly is 20d, silnylon is 30d. Their camo colors are all silpoly*.

Bushwack has always been 20D sil poly. Bushwack quilt fabric is also poly. This is due to the inability to print the bushwack pattern on nylon fabrics. Poly works best for printing.

Bushwack was 20D in the beginning and then they introduced 30D and stuck with it was my understanding. If you go to their page here to buy the fabric, they have it listed as "30D 2000mm NeverMist™ Silpoly" and also right on their Thunderfly page it says "Available in green or brown in either 20d polyester or 30d nylon, or in 30d polyester Bushwack camo.".

So which is right? the drop list or the description?... Was there ever a 30D option? Hopefully I will hear back from Warbonnet today and they can clear this all up.

There used to be a 30d silpoly. They haven't had that for some time.

Y'all are correct, I received an email from Warbonnet that confirms that it is 20D fabric.

"Bushwack tarp material is only available in 20D Silpoly material which is right on the money with our spec sheet.

May you have a splendid New Year,

    Greg
