Diy similar to jrb mw4 ?...

Hey guys I am interested in a diy version of something similar to a jacks r better mount washington 4 underquilt

. ( im not sure how to do the baffles- ). It's basically a rectangular quilt- but im not sure if the baffles are differentially shaped or pleated. Any help will be greatly appreciated!!
FYI: If you want to know what type a certain bear is, sneak up behind it and kick it. Then,
run like crazy and climb up a tree. If the bear climbs the tree and eats you, it's a black
bear. If the bear just pushes the tree over and eats you, it's a grizzly bear : )

Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me, either, just leave me alone.

Definitely, definitely do the differential baffles for an underquilt! I made a 3/4 length quilt that way and just pleated the excess fabric at each end, and it works great. I didn’t bother with a differential cut for my TQ, but I can assure you, from experience, that your UQ will be much warmer with it.

Make sure you allow for additional length as well as width in your bottom layer. Use pleats on the end and on the sides to make the edges of the top and bottom layers match. Use small pleats in the top edges of the baffles, but they don't need to be precise. Make sure the baffle material can stretch on the bias. In choosing the height of the baffles, aim high.
