I hang mine in my basement, with bricks holding down the guylines so that there is tension. Then I put the seamsealer on using a cheap foam brush. I use Permatex 81730 Flowable Silicone Windshield and Glass Sealer instead of the sealer that WB sends. I don't have to thin the Permatex at all, and it goes on well. I'm generous with how I apply it (in terms of the width around the seam), because my first effort, where I tried to just get the seams exactly, resulted in leaks. Then I do brush some baby powder over it before packing it away.

I always set up my tarp and then seam seal it. After 24 hours I water test it for leaks.
I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !

I just did mine and used a table. Held the fabric right sealed away spread out on the floor nice and flat let it dry overnight. Worked like a charm.

I also ended up doing mine today, went with a table top since I don't really have anywhere ideal to set up indoors. Thanks for all the responses and have a happy new year.

I also did my superfly today. I decided to seal the outside of the tie-outs. I plan on doing the inside of the ridgeline as well. For peace of mind.

Looks good, I only did the inside of mine for now but will do the outside like yours if mine fails the water test. I checked the outside stitching with a 60x loupe this morning and everything appears to be well saturated/sealed so I doubt any additional sealing will be necessary but just in case, how did you do yours? Seam Grip SIL and a brush?

Yep. That's exactly what I did. I used the small brush that came with the seam grip +sil and cut off off about 1/3 of the bristle length so it is a little stiffer. Makes it a little easier to keep a neat line of sealant

Just got my second WBO Thunderfly yesterday... Laid it out on my ice chest - opened the supplied tube of sealer - put on latex gloves and went to town. Rubbed hard back and forth... it's messy but it dries clear and you can't even see it - afterwards I hung it up where all four areas were open and off the ground. In a room with heat is best. That was yesterday... today I can hang it outside and it'll keep rain out for years.
