PappyAmos, nothing etched in stone, chatting with our friends. All will still be our friends, even if they don’t make this weekends trek.
On the other hand, our executive committee—
me and you, might just kick all malingerers and slackers out of the hammock club!

PG... I do believe I'm gonna be able to make this trek. I've got some new gear that needs to be out in the woods for some old testing. Including the TrailHeadz Etherreal 20° UL quiltset. Which weighs in at 34.2 oz. The new Lightheart Hoodie. The BTRstool. A newer cookset. and so on and soforth. So I'll aim to be up at yates by 0900....

Pickl always has the best toys!

Still intend to be rollling from the beach about 5:30. Should put me there around 9.

A band of four journeyed into Uwharries for short miles trip.
Plenty of time for lollygagging and drinking coffee
Everyone slept high and dry during overnight rain
High water pants needed to cross high streams that were only a trickle yesterday
Four made it out alive, BigFoot did not catch us, some of my soul left in Uwharries

Any one can post an impromptu backpacking trip, not everyone can go every trip.
If an adventure is posted some will go2

I'm glad yall 4 made it back alive and the Yeti/Sasquatch/6 toe Big foot is still out there for others to attempt a selfie with'em.
Hate I missed this one but me not miss the rain, mud and hi-water haha although I do have some new rain gear to try out. Lol
    Def another time for sure.

Looking forward to a few more of these around the Uwharries area or close by. Yates just around the corner but still enough time to get a few more in for practice. Lol

Sounds like a fun trip. Thought of y’all when I let the dog out Saturday night and it was pouring. Figured you were under a tarp dry somewhere. And glad we didn’t have to send a rescue party for Phantom lost in the woods telling lies.

TallPaul, thanks, stayed dry and warm
But dew point condensed dampness underside of tarp, both quilts and hammock.
Still stayed warm and dry in downy goodness
Most dampness noticed when unpacking at home after trip.
I’m a rookie backpack camping, double rookie in rain
With rain, it felt like we were really camping, made the coffee taste better in morning
    As far as lies go
I was barely keeping up with this ragtag bunch

Haven’t setup or packed up in rain yet
    Hope you can join us

Glad it worked out. Wish I was a fly on the wall to observe this!
