I think I'll pass this round. I'm still testing the limits of my DIY quilts and would rather do that in the backyard where I can run inside if they can't hold back the cold.
A day camping in the rain is better than a good day at work,

Keep an eye on weather forecast
Temperatures are starting to look milder
    Not too cold
    No rain Saturday
    And possible rain Sunday

I use Troy NC for weather location on WeatherBug app
    Some use El Dorado NC

    Use your best judgment.
I will be there rain or shine

Weatherunderground now predicting chance of showers Saturday thru Tuesday. Unless it gets worse, I will probably come too as I am booked with Dr stuff for the next two weeks starting Tuesday.

NC Uwharries Yeti Trek Winter 2020-2021 : Change to Jan 2 and 3

    WeatherBug app forecasts
Rain Friday night and rain in wee hours of Saturday
And then stopping?!?!? Maybe stopping and starting!
No rain after 500 AM rest of Saturday and very warm temperatures for this time of year.
Ooops Fact Check Line above might be a lie!
Into every life some tears will fall
    PappyAmos, I know you right!
My updated weather report is a copy of yours
My weatherman probably copies your weather man’s homework.
We gonna get some rain in there somewhere
    Maybe some rain Saturday?
Then some chance of rain Sunday?
A short man, like me has to be on lookout for flash floods and high water

I’m bringing rain wear and a trash bag to enclose my pack both while hanging from end of hammock and as a “dry sack”

If it rains—then I’ll really be camping

    PappyAmos, I know you right
We gonna get rain Saturday night and wee hours of Sunday
Very mild temperatures-a heat wave for this time of year
Here’s hoping Lady Luck will be with us!

Best to check a weather app for hourly forecasts Troy NC Forecast should be more accurate on Friday.

If I got paid to tell lies
It just wouldn’t be as much fun

There will most likely be several treks into Uwharries, to capture BigFoot!
I would be easy to capture as I do not hike very fast these days.
I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !

Most all BigFoot hunters, except tweakers, would keep a respectable distance from your imposing presence.
Gunner if Sam and Abby are with you, most BigFoot hunters would be easily fooled, as you would blend in with our ragtag bunch.

This latest forecast is gonna sound like a lie
WeatherBug app forecast this Wednesday morning for coming weekend
    Subject to change

Saturday morning, rain stops at 700 AM
    Temperature at 900 AM 59
    Temperature at 1000 AM 63
    Temperature at 200 PM 72
    No rain all “day”
    Rain begins just after sunset

    Sunday low temperature 54
    Sunday high temperature 59
Rain stops just before sunrise Sunday and no rain all “day”

Of course, actual weather will differ from forecast
But this is unbelievably mild weather for a winter trek. The trail will be muddy in some places.

We will look at our group, age, pack weight, and what our group wants. And our trek can be tailored to fit conditions.
There might be some BigFoot sightings, if we are lucky
