"Climb the mountains and get their good tidings.
Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees.
The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy,
while cares will drop away from you like the leaves of Autumn." — John Muir
Count me in. Will likely arrive at 7:30 pm Fri night. Will bring a canapy. Looking forward to seeing everyone again.
Figure I should jump in here. Crazy it's March already. I should have me+maybe 3.
Learning by doing, Jack of All Trades.
Keep your feet on the ground and your minds in the woods!
Wondering if anyone has a Alder Hammock by Autumn Ultralight that they could bring to Yates.
Specify the Alder Hammock (no net) out of Hyper D1.6, because it is 58" wide.
I like a more narrow hammock.
The hammock I used for years gave out and spilt side to side at the GHSP Fall Festival Hang.
It was made of a fairly thin, light, rip stop Walmart fabric I found in 08.
At least that's when I find the first picture of like hammock. It's possible I made a second one out of that same fabric at some point but I don't remember.
I started sleeping in my hammock, in my bedroom in 07 and started using the camo one when I made it in 08 for every night at home and backpacking trips I went on.
Even if I did make a new one out of that same Walmart fabric, I still got some good years out of that fabric at $1 per yard.
Now I'm just going to buy one (maybe with a mod or two) and I'm always impressed with the pictures I see of Autumn Leaf's work.
I too will something make and joy in it's making
A good idea, if parking on road that goes into woods (not Dusty Level Road) to relieve congestion, best for all to park on same side of road—do not park on both sides of road!
If an ambulance can’t get through easily.
Then your car might get towed!
Please do not put any trash in fire.
Especially orange peels, cans, plastic bottles, foil wrappers, aluminum foil
Some mornings, I put water kettles by the fire, for all to use. Ashes from burning paper, find their way into kettle of hot water.
For a coffee purist...this is a sin!
I'm planning on arriving Thursday afternoon. Looking forward to this weekend!
"Ashes from burning paper, find their way into kettle of hot water."
Guilty. Sorry, I thought it would help keep trash mountain at the bin down in size.
