Hey hammock people, Pollard here. Just wanted to say thanks for letting me join the hang this weekend, was exactly what I needed. Look forward to hopefully doing it again in the fall!

Also- I left a book I was reading somewhere out there. Its probably gone for good but wanted to see if anybody grabbed it

I gave your book to one of our campers. She said she might read it. I do not recall name...was it Rhonda, or Rat Mama? Sometimes, life is a blur, when cleaning camp tables.

    NC Yates Hang Spring 2021 March 11 12 13 14

    Congratulations to all contest winners.
    Correct me if I’m wrong
    “Purdy Boil” winner Joyride Bob
1st runner up former champion Gas
    2nd runner up Pebbles Deborah
    3rd runner up Peeeeetey

My stove was psyched out because Hickery was running late and missed our contest by half hour maybe. My stove was set on whooping Hickery and when he wasn’t there, my stove was thrown out of sync. So you can see it’s not my fault-Hickery it’s your fault for not being EARLY!

    All kidding aside
Joyride’s stove is a handmade work of art. It’s the first stove he ever made.
Congratulations to all winners, place winners and as always, a tip of the hat to our past champions!

I got a charge out of this weekend in piney woods with all the hammock creatures.
My two favorites are Knock Knock Jokes, and the youngest building their own fire.

Special thanks to Yates superstars, Old Pros, for cooking up a storm and wonderful coffee and hot water for The Hot Chocolate Crew—-Tazmaniac, PappyAmos, Starfish Comet, Mooseman, Hickery, Loner, Peeeeetey, Chknbone and more!

Max and Lacy and The Farm Dog rounded out an AllStar eating team!

Each one of you—I’m thankful for your help in making Yates Hang memorable and pleasant by your contributions and pleasant camaraderie.

Thanks, I had a great time.

Made it about an hour back in to TN last night before stopping for the evening then got up early...EARLY! and drove the rest of the way across the state home this morning. Had a great time! Thanks again for all your hard work PG! See y'all on the next hang.

It ain't always about hammer'n out the miles....Sometimes it's about just 'hanging out"!

Lacey the beagle and I had a great time. She was so full and tired from keeping an eye on all the food she’s had 6 hours of napping since she got home.

It was fun talking to the newcomers and the old timers. And seeing all the new hammock stuff I now need to buy.

Thanks to all the cooks and cooks assistants.
And all those that shared their coffee.

And to Phantom for all his organizing and getting everybody involved. It’ll be hard to top this years weather and fire wood.

Great weather and hang. I have to complain about the trees though. In all my time of coming to Yates never thought my trees would let me down like that. (Literally) Thank God the tree fell away from me and didn't crush any parts of my body.

The first picture is the tree that left me down Thursday night.

My little white truck giving @Sandman614 some inspiration.

    @Mooseman sighting!

Best french fries I have ever had in the woods! Delicious

    The fire artistically captured.

Thanks for all who cooked and chatted what a great time in the woods. It was a much needed time in the woods.

This a great weekend with a lot of great people. PG thanks for all you do for making this a special hang.
To all the cooks thank you. You all do so much for everyone there. The time in the pine trees was very needed. Can’t wait for the next one.

Great time. My kids asked if we could stay another night if that says anything about the fun the had. Can you believe kids today can have fun without being glued to electronics? They loved starting and tending their own fire (with plenty of adult supervision) and the toads mating in a mud puddle kept them entertained for quite some time.
A day camping in the rain is better than a good day at work,

Thank you all so much for making my first Yates Hang 2021 event a HUGE success. I can't tell you how much you accelerated my learning curve in the hang world. I met great people, had wonderful coffee and food, non-stop campfires and even enjoyed hanging 3 times in different locations in one day! Awesome - and I look forward to the next event. I'm unable to post the mouse-trap - catch and release video....
