I FINALLY got my Loco Libre 0 degree UQ!!!! It was quite late of course, given the mess at the USPS before Christmas. But it arrived!

I had a package shipped from Maryland on Dec. 2nd it arrived on Dec. 28th. It spent a fair amount of time in a black hole in GA.

Ordered an Incubator from HammockGear. Shipped on Dec. 15, sat in Pre-shipment for a week. Then all of a sudden on the 22nd it shows up at the local destination facility. "In Transit" ever since, with a last update date of the 26th. Ordered a hammock from Dutch, it has an expected delivery date of today, but just hit the same link in the chain, so we will see.

I had a package shipped Dec 2 from Arkansas that just arrived Jan 4 in Virginia. It was "in transit" from Dec 4 to Jan 2. It must have walked all the way.

Dec 8 from an ebay seller, still nothing. But thanks for the info, gives me some hope! Not worried because of insurance, but just getting impatient.

Well, my hammock is out for delivery today after passing through the same facility it seems my UQ is stuck in. I have opened an inquiry into the UQ.

Edit - just took delivery of the hammock!

Some of it is understandable backup at airport-adjacent sorting centers. Some of it is less understandable. I sent some important paperwork Priority from Minneapolis to South St Paul. I sent it on a Saturday, expecting it to arrive on Monday. On Sunday, it was in Omaha, NE. !! It came back Wednesday and was delivered in SSP on Thursday. Quick enough service, I suppose, but it took two flights it had no reason to.

It seems that some USPS sorting centers have been absorbed and consolodated over the past few years. That changes the flow of mail/ parcels. Ex: I live in Gulfport, MS and most of my family lives in LA. We no longer have a sorting center in south MS. Everything goes thru Mobile, AL which seems counter-intuitive. I mail a package to my mother in LA and it goes to a state in the opposite direction to be sorted and shipped back thru MS to LA. That adds at least a couple of extra days for shipping. In contrast, I shipped a parcel via UPS at regular ground rate from Gulfport to Alexandria,LA and it was delivered the next day because it took a direct path. The location of sorting centers may be why you are seeing things show up in wierd places.

I have had three incoming packages returned to the sender as undeliverable, while my address was dead on correct. No idea what's up with that.

Another package sitting at my local PO, walking distance from my home, taking a week long hiatus. I've been doing screen shots of the tracking info just in case things go sideways
