    USPS warning

I've got several packages from vendors here and amazon that are basically lost after being shipped. It seems they make it to a sort facility and never leave; from all over the country. I would not recommend having anything shipped to you USPS anytime soon.

I know its COVID times; I get letters but parcel items are no shows.

UPS and FEDEX started this when they told drivers not to pick up from certain online vendors. USPS can't say no, so they are buried by Christmas overload.
Talked to postal worker today, he said they put priority on first class mail.

I was told just the opposite about USPS, they prioritize "Priority Mail", because if lost or significantly late they have to settle on Insurance. First Class is treated as "economy", and in the distribution point in my city they are sitting in bins all thru the processing center. I had a package go out 11/17 and still has not cleared the center 6 miles from my home, in the words of the person at the counter "We are lucky to have enough drivers from mail due to covid cases and quarantines, sorting goes out the window".

Everything I have mailed out USPS this Holiday season has made it to it's intended destination. Albeit a couple were a bit late.
Things mailed to me have all arrived.
I give them credit for being under duress in these times. I'll throw no stones.

Our USPS has been doing fine.
FedEx marked a "Package delivered, 4:21 PM at 110 Street Name, Porch". Right. Nope. I text our neighbors. YEP, delivered next door.
A few days later, Amazon said they delivered something. Nope. Neighbors didn't have it and his security camera didn't show which house the driver went to. I was out of town the next day (Saturday) and so didn't follow up on it. But wife said it was "on the porch" sometime during Saturday. No idea if it was delivered elsewhere on the street (there's only 11 houses) or if they marked it delivered, got back to the depot and went "Great! Truck empty.......whoops".

We're experiencing significant delays with USPS here in the Chicagoland area.

December 22 shown in that image was the first update since the 14th, so I kind of gave up. But it's insured so I'm not too worried.

Postal Service Extreme Delays, coming to your town - I hope not

I have 2-3 in flight at all times and have not had anything lost or delayed more than 48 hours.

I just got one from Justin, TX to seattle only a day late.

It seems really random, if your package goes through the wrong sorting center....
