New full coverage winter protection from Onetigris. Seems like good price and quality.

    Hi everyone,
Even though it's not my thing, as I live in the tropics, I saw this and thought it might be a good value for some of you. Looks like a new product that's on sale right now, and it seems you can get an extra 10% off if you register.
Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, and I have absolutely no affiliation with the company.

That's pretty impressive but I would hate to have to try and fit it in a backpack.

I was joking about this the other day with some friends. But then started to realize the price. $161 shipped after discount.

But then, how are you going to support snow on that huge roof? And those massive LOGOS on BOTH sides really turn me off.

It would be no different than keeping snow off a tarp. Use your tie outs, tap it off every couple of hours through the night. Dont see how it would be a problem. You wouldnt be packing this in your pack. Most likely it would be on your sled, along with your pack and woodstove.

You guys are so lucky to be able to even consider that kit for your conditions.
I’d load up a pulk every opportunity if I could....

That's larger than some apartments in Manhattan.

A lot different, believe me. These "cabins" sag like crazy when damp. If you want to rely on tapping snow off thru the night, I guess. Not high on my list of things to do while sleeping though.

It's why a lot of people focus on pole mods or panel pulls in the winter.

I look at the huge side walls and think, sheesh. One bad night of wind changing is
going to be a bad night for that vehicle storage unit. Going to be a few melted tarps
if wind hits the side with the stove. But that's a personal decision and it might
    work for some people.

LOL vehicle storage. That's part of the reason why I went with the smaller Smokehouse Outfitter I. And the slightly heavier 1.9 fire-retardant material. It feels more robust for winter and seems to not flap around so much. Less to heat, less to catch wind and snow. One side is a lean-to, so there's only one "roof" to worry about.

I'm not being critical to be mean. Just out of experience. Their photos show a nice puffy tent when in reality that thing will sag like crazy with the slightest moisture, even from a foggy/misty day. You thought your simple hex tarp was saggy. It's like the Wendy's hamburgers...don't believe the marketing photos. They'll never look like that.

Still, two jack locations, big ridgeline, good materials from what I can tell, accessories for a price. Could pave the way to great things in the future. Kinda neat to see a big(ish) company get into this.

    Exclamation

I just started a thread on this as well not realizing someone had already made one. Here is the link https://www.hammockforums.net/forum/...70#post2041170. I've also posted a disclaimer at the bottom giving credit to the original designer of the tent, LONE WOLF 902, as well as his 2 videos on the matter.
