Please read my post #1 and post #21 on Yates thread.
You will recognize many from hangs you’ve been at in past. And there will be some you’ve not met yet.
    Lots of trees there.

If you plan on going to Yates, there is no sign up sheet, but please make at least one post, so I’ll have an idea how many will be there
    Thank woooooo
Yep, I'll try to be there for the Yates Hang PG.
I too will something make and joy in it's making

OK, I know some of you have already taken vacation time of for Feb 25-28, so lets see if people want to do another hang in NC.

    Linville Gorge, NC.
Hickery and I talked about a large, group sized, primitive camp on 105, west side of the gorge,
    just south of Wiseman's View.
It's referred to as Event Camp if I'm not mistaken.

A little less elevation than GHSP but still a lot more snow and cold than the low lands.
Kenny Ray said they got snow this morning, Sunday 7th.
If you've never been there, you are missing something.

Let us know what you think.
I'll start a new planning thread titled "Linville Gorge Wintertime Hang" if some of you are interested.

I have never been to the gorge but I want too. Is it like grayson in that we can have extra supplies in the car if need be or carrying everything in?

    In this case, yes.
The base camp is right beside the gravel road (105) that runs the west ridge of LG.
Of course, there are plenty of opportunities for day hikes and backpacking too but I suspect most will be hanging out at the group camp.
Wiseman's view is a short drive or hike up the road.
Another thing we will talk about is condition of 105. Sometimes it gets pretty rutted out but if I'm not mistaken, it's in pretty good shape now.

I'll see if I can get a new planning thread started.
