Slowhike... I figured it was a wait and see type situation anyway. Feb may give more time after the holidays for reported cases to go down from the holidays but who knows.

If it would make a difference in allowing the hang to go on, might I suggest skipping the communal meal. We did this at the NOVA Hang just before Thanksgiving. Participants ate meals on their own. We also had more individual campfires and folks would move around in smaller groupings. I was still able to make the rounds and visit everyone multiple times. We also skipped the raffle. You could still do one but with a silent version to avoid the larger gathering.
    Just some thoughts. Jimbo

It seams to me that moving it to February might give it a better chance.

That seams doable but I think they know we would likely be in a larger group at times and it would cause GHSP problems if it were known.
Also, the raffle is how we pay for the firewood, port a john and give back to the park for letting us use the group area in off season.

Pretty sure there will be another spike after the Holidaze. Group sizes had been at 25 prior to the 14th. Probably ought to start looking into. February wk end.

We will have to wait and see. We might have other options available—unknown at this time

I was just talking with Hickery by phone and we agree that it seams best to keep the tradition at GHSP.

We will likely try for one of the last two weekends in Feb and see how things go.
Even if we had to move it to March, it's still going to be winter up there.

I'm going to email Marci and get her thoughts.

Selfishly I’ll add there already is the Chili Butt Hang up here in Northern Va. Feb 19-21. If you do reschedule to the last weekend of Feb. I could do both.
