My nephew complains that he can't hang in his backyard.

Do any of these hammock stands work, if so which ones?

+1 on the Tensa4. I love mine. I got it for motorcycle travel, but have set it up in the backyard plenty. If it is just for backyard use, a DIY tensa stand is a good, less expensive option.

i have a DIY version of the tensa4 AND i have a tensa4.

they DIY version informed me that yes, i did need to lay out the bux for the manufactured one.

now i have two.

Question for you folks that have a tensa 4.

I’ve been struggling to hang inside when my back acts up. I have a setup in my indoor man cave area, but it’s far from ideal due to all the other cool stuff I have in there. Just too cramped.

So, I’ve been mulling over getting a tensa 4 to setup indoors and just using that instead. The other stands I’ve looked at all seem too low to me.

Would you say that the tensa 4 is good for this use? I don’t really want to mess with boring into studs, etc.

Absolutely! My wife not only let me bring it in from backyard into our TV room, but actually even claims it as her spot on movie nights! The machined aluminum looks fabulous, and the geometry makes for a strikingly modern furniture statement!

Yes, it works great indoors, and folds away very easily. You just need a good anchor point for the foot end. One thing to keep in mind is the rubber ends that come on the Tensa4 can leave black scuffs on hard flooring. They sell an updated foot that is supposed to fix that issue. The scuffs are easily cleaned up, but something to be aware of.
