    Considering a new hammock

I currently have a dream hammock Raven. I love that hammock. But I'm thinking of getting something new.
I'm looking at the dream hammock sparrow and the bb xlc. If anyone has any ideas or pros and cons I would appreciate it.

Never tried either, but if you are super happy with the Raven and not looking to explore per-se, then I’d likely stick with DH and go for the Sparrow. I love the Darien that I have - of all the hammock I have I would say it is the best made, the feeling of quality practically drips off of it. I’m sure the WB is similarly well done.

I gotta say that I like how the XLC looks with the big shelf and how they alway seems to be hung with the feet in the sky. They just look cool all decked out.

I'm a Dream Hammock fan, so you can guess what my recommendation would be, lol! Can't go wrong with the Smurfs.

I have a sparrow and wanted to try the blackbird so I ordered the original blackbird (I'm 5ft 1ish so didn't need the xlc) and I loved the shelf but it just wasn't as comfortable as my sparrow in 1.6 hyperD. I've tried many hammocks at 10ft (2 DH dariens and 1 SLD trail lair made from different materials and 58" wide) and it may be that I prefer 11ft over 10ft and wide hammocks over 58in wide hammocks, my sparrow is 72in wide.

I have a single layer Eldorado that I really like and I'm expecting to take delivery of a double layer XLC today, I have never tried a hammock from Dream Hammock tho, just WB and Dutch.

Love my Warbonnets. If you do get one make sure to carefully read their set-up instructions.

Warbonnets are my favorite side sitting hammock in camp because the tied off bug netting gives some back support.

I have a dream darien, a wide darien, and an el dorado (bbxlc without shelf)

They are all very similar so if something about one really bothers you, none of them will be great. That said the biggest difference for me is the wide. No longer do I have to contort my arm behind my head when laying down. Both arms can comfortably lay flat. That said all the extra fabric comes with its own issues flapping about.

If I buy another in the future I'd probably get a 12 foot, wide. I'm 6 1 and feel like just a little more space would let me lay flatter.
