Quest Outfitters offers a selection of poles for interior pole mods. Just determine your desired length and diameter. Feeding some shock cord between the tips is easy.

I retrofitted interior pole mods on both of my tarps plus a tarp I built for one of my friends. Just a little grosgrain and 1/2' Beastee Dee Rings and you are in business. I sewed the grosgrain on with my sewing machine but it could be done by hand, too. I don't have an interior ridgeline but you could rig something up for your current tarp. You could play around with it while you are waiting for your snow camo tarp to become available.

The pole mod is so wonderful I use it when I hang with my BBXLC, not just my RR. The room under the tarp is luxurious and makes for unlimited porch mode possibilities.

You can order the bits and pieces (poles, tips and shockcord) here and assemble your own or have have a set made up to your specifications for a fee. I priced out an unassembled two pole set in .344 aluminum (two poles at 126" long made from six 18" sections w/ inserts and one w/o insert plus tips and shockcord) for about $50 plus shipping. Wider tarps might need an extra section but they can be easily trimmed to length with a tube cutter.

The link is to Tent Pole Technologies selling the same stuff as Quest for roughly the same price.

Thank you all for the suggestions.

shichimi - nice after mod. What were the lengths of your poles? At one time I did buy some pole sections from Quest and have my tube cutter. On my first attempt, I misinterpreted their recommendation for the shock-cord length as a percentage of the pole length. So my first batch was really snug. This was an exercise in making exterior poles.

Using the continuous loop to add a beastie D-ring is easy enough, but how do you go about determining the length of the interior pole? Do you just measure the straight across distance, D-ring to D-ring, and the curve forms by gravity and guying down the edges?
In order to see what few have seen, you must go where few have gone. And DO what few have done.

I surely will measure poles when I get to them.
As about length of the interior pole - I do not have to cut poles to length , just made pole in sections that will be somewhere a little more then the length d ring to d ring.
Then I connected D rings with prussics(to increase or decrease total distance between two drings ) to tie outs, guying down the edges and define how much of length I need for continious loops that will hold drings.
I described it somewhat clearly, sorry if not because english is not my primary language

This photo is with just ONE pole, so I would say two are plenty for any scenario.
I second (or third or fourth) the Winter Haven from SLD. I have a wide 12' version set up for 3 poles (even though I usually only take 2). It is a fortress of a bomb shelter as far as tarps go. Not the lightest setup, but I feel like I could ride out almost any weather I encounter with it.

When I did the pole mod for my amok tarp, I just made the pole the same length as the width of the tarp

it seems to fit that way, and does what I want

And your beastie D-Rings are the ˝ inch hole size?
