Not the longest hike in.....-2.5c was a breeze in the HG quilts, slept warm and long...down is completely incomparable to synthetic in my minimal experience so far.

Yeah - glad to hear a success story!
One thing that I really like about down is that I never get too hot even when over-insulated. I mean, I have sweat in synthetic bags due to too much heat. I get super super toasty in down, but I never sweat.
That looks about the same as my "hike in". Absolutely adequate if you ask me Just got a bit more snow and colder temps here. Supposed to go to -22C (-30C w/ wind chill) tonight. NOT going to sleep outside tonight
Enjoy the Incubator!
Thanks guys.
Had another night in the garden last night, only -1c but the quilts are fantastic.
Slept out last night in my back garden last night Got down to -14ºF (-25ºC) in Superior Gear hammock with 15ºF (9ºC) UQ built in and added the 30ºF (1ºC) snap on UQ. Used JRB High Sierra Sniveler TQ 0ºF (17ºC) and Hammock Gear TQ 30ºF (1ºC).
Was so warm and snug.
Testing the rig in deep winter temps for upcoming trip.
Nice to know one can be good and warm in slumber.

I took advantage of what was supposed to be single digits (but above zero - darn) to try out a Feathered Friends Ibis sleeping bag (rated at zero degrees + 4 oz overstuff). I was way too warm. The bag model is Long and I’m only 5’5” so I think I’ll sell it. I don’t think it’s going to get cold enough in Oregon for such extreme gear. I had a 0 degree HG UQ - didn’t feel cold once. Except of course for those middle of the night character building exits.
In order to see what few have seen, you must go where few have gone. And DO what few have done.
That sounds awesome Shug. I still haven't figured out proper face covering, which is why I stayed inside last night. I guess I'm getting lazy I just checked the thermometer and it went down to -10.3F/-23.5C last night.
Lately I have been sleeping inside (mostly in the hammock tho) only sitting by the campfire in my snow 'fort' (as in wind block ) in the evenings. -18C/-0.4F right now and waiting for the fire to die down a bit more before going inside.
-1C is totally fine if you ask me. Especially over in Europe. Not sure on the UK and your location specifically Yeti but I remember from my time in Germany, that temp can be mighty cold. Feeling much colder at least anyway than the - 20C here in Canada.

It’s bleak here today, only -1or2c but strong wind from the east and it feels like it’s cutting through me...
Arutha, I’d love to experience-20c to feel the difference.
I have a soft fleece face covering...no neoprene in it. Treasure it. Got it many years ago I know not where.
