I’ve got a probable BSA campout the 11-13, if thats a wash, than I could be in. I would also be available for a night on the 18th or 19th.

It seems that all who are responding are available on Friday, Dec. 18th. So my suggestion is that we meet at Mohican Memorial State Forest. Here is a map:
    https://ohiodnr.gov/static/documents...ps/mohican.pdf

I have only camped at sites 9 and 10 on the north side. I have been down to site 8 as well. All are good. These have parking spots within easy walking distance. I am open to other possibilities if anyone wants to suggest one.

Chris and others who may be new to this area, you must stop and sign-in at the State Forest HQ. Fill out a form and put it on your windshield so you are not ticketed in the Parking Lots.

    Typically in the past,
First one there from the forum has signed up for the best available site on the clipboard at the kiosk and marked HF in the left margin for those who follow to sign in the same. It’s first come first serve for the sites.

FYI, 9 and I believe 3 maybe 2 are the group sites that are allowed to officially have more than 6 people. 2 and ether 1 or 3 require a river crossing, can’t remember for sure. Site 4 is very nice and a fairly level walk, 1-3 have the longest climb out, 8 is a short walk with a moderate climb out, 9 and 10 is less incline but a tad longer (still all fairly short). 7 was not a bad walk but Hobo and I did not like the camp site so much. I can’t say anything about 5 or 6, never been to ether. Correct me if I’m wrong on any of this, my membering ain’t always best!

All true. 9 and 4 probably best options, in my mind, but we can work with whatever is available. Just to add to Diz's comment on site 7, I sorta hated it...it was on the side of a hill with no flat areas. You wouldn't think that was an issue with Hammys, but everything I set down rolled away!

Not sure about the 18th for me, but I'll try. Weather this weekend is looking wet, which would hae been great for my 12 month a year thing, but it wouldn't have been a lot of fun.

Speaking of 12 months/year, how many consecutive months with a night out are you up to now?
Hope you can make it Hobo, it’s been a few months since I’ve seen ya. Probably two years since I’ve seen TreesCo. And even longer for Rev. It’ll be good see you all back in the rotation.

I think this will make 64 consecutive months. Talked with my wife and I think I'm good for the 18th. Fingers crossed! I might buy a couple of packs of firewood .... I'm ready for a GOOD fire!
