    Best UQ for the money.......

    I'm in the market for my first UQ and with so many options its hard to pick a brand. I've looked at UGQ, HG, and warbonnet brands and as far as I can see HG incubator might be the best bet for a good price. I'm also into help figuring out a temp for a first one that can be used in the spring summer and fall in Pennsylvania. Also I have a dutchware chameleon if that helps figure anything out with the UQ.

    All of the cottage vendors make great quilts- well, the ones that make quilts. I would recommend a 20° UQ as a first buy. It's the most versatile for year-round use. You can vent it in the summer, or you can supplement it with a pad or extra clothing if you'll be camping below its temp rating. Other vendors to consider are Loco Libre, Jacks R Better, Cedar Ridge Outdoors, and TrailHeadz Hammocks.

    Thanks ill looking into these different companies. I was kind of leaning towards a 30degree UQ just because i really don't see myself hammock camping in less than 40Degree weather. as of now when we camp and it dips below 40 I have a roof top tent for my truck that we use. I'm just worried that a 20 degree UQ would be to warm in the summer even with venting. but not sure

    3 brands in order That I voucher for;
    1) - UGQ - Paul, Missy, and crew are the very best IMHO
    2) Loco Libre - true works of art - George is a real awesome dude as well.
    3) Trailheadz - You will not find a lighter quilt on the market period. And the Ramels are awesome!!

    In case it isn't completely apparent I'm somebody that likes to create relationships. I can buy stuff anywhere but I prefer to buy stuff from people that are cool, who have similar interests, and people who I would generally choose to spend money with and endorse doing so. People I would gladly spend a little extra coin on. Old school business plans

    I totally agree with the shopping from cool people. I live In PA and was lucking enough to go down to dutchware to buy my hammock in person and everyone there was super cool and helpful.

    You're welcome! I've used my 20° UQ when the lows were only in the mid-70s. I've learned that the top quilt will be biggest factor on whether or not you'll be too warm.

    I would have listed Dutch I just have limited experience. I don't think he directly sells them either.

    My top quilt and under quilt both came from JacksRBetter. I've been very happy with them. Customer service is excellent. They will help you if you're not sure which product you need. I think they usually have items in stock so you don't have to wait long. They sometimes run a sale.
