    hi from missouri

Been hammocking for a few years as a scout leader, have had fun learning then teaching hammocking to youth and adults. Have made the turtledog and the bi-pod (swing set?) stands and current fave when I do not have trees is the bi-pod. Taught hammocks at scout camp all 5 sessions this summer and the camp is starting to put in poles for hammockers to hang during scout camp. Really enjoy it and have not used a tent for about 9 years with year round camping with the scouts. Thanks to all on this forum for the information and ideas. I am in my mid 60s and thank hammocks for allowing me to continue camping/learning and teaching the outdoors.

Zartog, Thank You Sir for being a Scoutmaster!
I have many years of pleasant memories as a Scout. Our Troop 18 camped every month and we went to summer camp. Just now I’m realizing just some of what our Scoutmasters gave us, guiding us to become good men as we hiked through life.

Safety first: No Rocks under hammock when entire Scout troop try’s to take selfies from one hammock all at once.
I mean, what do you tell Jimmy’s Mom?!?!?

Rule Two: No Condos over Five Floors! LOL
