I have no problem with the D-splicer splicing needle, Size F10, to splice all of these smaller cords.
The tool is not cheap but is a pleasure to use.
Sioux Hustler Trail 2020, Angleworm Trail, 2021, PowWow Trail clearing 2021, and any weekend overnight I can get.
I finally managed to get mine to splice with some thin wire, I'm currently waiting on another order from Dutch that has a couple of splicing needles in it that I'm hoping will make it easier this time round. The best advice I can give is to get a good proper taper on your bury, I believe that was my problem before, I was trying to leave the end too blunt.
I've been trying w/ 26 gauge wire and it's not happening. It's kind of frustrating as I didn't have any issues doing the same thing w/ some Lash-it a week ago.
Thought doing some UCR's w/ Reflect-it would look good, . . . but now I'm thinking of changing my mind.
I'm not sure what gauge this wire is since it's a doubled over steel fishing leader, but I do know that the first time I tried I got so frustrated I gave up which doesn't happen often or easily lol. I gave it another go last week making sure I taper it down to ~4 strands before attempting my bury and it takes a little more convincing than Zing-It/Lash-It but it did go with just a little effort, I'm convinced it's all about getting the taper correct.
#30 floral wire

Does that mean 30 gauge?
When we were out doing a supply run I stopped by a craft place and all their floral wire was in gauges and 26 gauge was the smallest they had. 30 gauge would be like a hair.
