I'm joining the purple XLC club! After seeing pictures in this thread, I couldn't resist. It's the first purple thing I've owned since a Gamecube
Just received my daughter’s double layer Eldorado in purple yesterday. It’s really nice! I wish I had paid attention when I got my XLC and got it in dreamtex. It’s a nice matte finish. Too windy to hang it yesterday, maybe I can compare the single layer vs the double today.
I too have a purple XLC, though mine seems to be darker than the ones posted here, which I love. Maybe I just haven't hung it in full sunlight yet tho, as I prefer a shady hang. Purp gang rise up!
Porty Skills, Welcome to the forum. One of the challenges with computers and color is the various “eyes” that see it. You have the fabric itself, then you have the color that is rendered in the photograph, then you have the color as it is displayed on the screen and finally the color your eyes see on that screen. But wait, there’s more. The screen often uses a blend of red/green/blue (RGB hues) while print media, uses a blend of cyan, magenta, yellow, and “key” (so cmyk, but the key is usually blacK) Getting the same color from the actual object to someone’s eyes looking at a screen is non-trivial and a lot of expensive calibration gear is used.
So the color you see in posted pictures vs the color of the object in hand will be close but usually not exactly the same.
It’s something to contemplate while lying in your purple-ish XLC

In order to see what few have seen, you must go where few have gone. And DO what few have done.
