    Question thru hiker set up

anyone familiar wiht the thru hiker set up? it looks like a good deal but any word even from @dutch about the quality of the gear?

ordered anyway. i will let you know what i find out. Reasons for ordering
    1. I don't think Dutch would sell junk.
    2. the sum of the parts beats the cost.
    3. my son is growing and the hammock alone is cheaper than a new one.

Of many transactions, I have never had a disappointed experience with Dutch.

I bought the hammock/net combo at the beginning of the summer, and I’ve used it a few times; two friends liked it enough that they bought them, as well. One friend also got the tarp, and has been pleased with it so far as I know. It’s lightweight and quite comfortable. I haven’t had time to wear it out yet :-), so I can’t speak to durability.

it all arrived today. it is a thru hiker set up. Looks like a good deal on first inspection. Got to figure out a time to get the cordage figured out and then try it out.

Is Santa allowed to do that before the 25th?

I will add that I did pull the buckle loops out of the channels and replace them with continuous loops; then I have the option of using a different suspension with the hammock; a carabiner works fine to connect the loops to the buckle system (which ends with the piece I took out of the hammock channels).

@Raladd I set up the tarp in the garage to get the cord on it. I have not messed with the hammock might experiment with suspension later.
