    Cool Best By Date??

I finally got to get a night out in my hammock after a LOOOooong forced hiatus. It was great, even if I did spend the night fiddling with a new hammock that I had not used yet. Finally got it dialed about 04:00 and slept soundly in the cool morning until late. I just thought I might need to mention something I found in my food stash when I was preparing my food bag. What I found, to my surprise and delight, was a genuine "Peanut Butter Pop Tart"!! How many years ago did they stop making those things? I was afraid it might be rancid after all these years, but I had to try it. I dedicated this "thought to be extinct" relic of the past to our Friend Shug and chowed down. It was a little stiffer than I remember, but tasted perfectly fine. Now the species is truly extinct, sadly. But I enjoyed it immensely. Not only that, but think of all the great preservatives I ingested. I should live forever

Here's to you Shug, and Peanut Butter Pop Tarts!

By the way, my hammock was a Dream Hammock with a Jacks or Better UQ. I couldn't get the quilt to stay under the large hammock.

Take a length of cord, tie a prusik in middle of cord around hammock ridgeline. Put enough wraps (maybe 5 or 6 wraps) so prusik does not slide.
Cord ends can be tied to loops on end of under quilt. Same loops that anchor secondary under quilt suspension. This can help keep under quilt from sliding off center of your hammock.

It’s not perfect, it is a quick fix in woods.

Glad you got out in piney woods!

If I got paid to tell lies
It just wouldn’t be as much fun
