Best 0 Degree UQ for wide DW Chameleon

As I have said in this Forum several times before, I am a newbie.
I am using a JRB MW 4 UQ for my DW Chameleon.
I am now in the process of attempting to set my wife up with good gear. I got her a wide chameleon after she slept in mine and liked it. Although our temps haven't been below 35* at home, yet, the JRB MW4 has worked well on my wide chameleon.
I am trying to decide if I should just get a duplicate JRB MW 4 for my wife, or whether I should experiment with some other brand.
In looking at sister threads on this topic, I noticed that a lot of folks are using HG and WB UQ's. (DW's website says their Cedar Ridge 0* is out of stock). It is also confusing to know if a particular quilt (such as a WB Wooki)(HG Incubator) would work with the wide chameleon.
I know there's a ton of products and more opinions, but does anybody think that HG or WB or any other manufacturer sells a better UQ than the JRB MW 4 that would fit a wide Chameleon?

I use a Wooki UQ down to 20 degree and plan on getting a 0 degree I did quite a bit of research and went with a Wooki for a number of reasons

    1. High quality. Do not want an issue at those temperatures
    2. Very easy setup and can double stack with my EE UQ
    3. Provides an extra wind break by design

My Chameleon is a single, but the Wooki is customizable and might work with a double.

Top quit is an EE (40, 20, 0} Tarp is a Hammock Gear Dyneema standard tarp with doors. Gotta have the doors on cold windy nights.

    Good luck!

Any good UQ will fit on the Chameleon ....as long as it is set-up properly with no gaps and all that palaver.
Used many different ones on mine.

Thank you, Hatchet. My Chameleon is a "wide" model but it is not a double, so the Wooki might work. One thing I noticed about the Wooki is that WB says their standard issue Wooki is configured for a "head left, feet right" lay. Does that configuration limit you any?

10-4, Shug. Thank you. I have been reading the various posts about how to rig to eliminate the gaps and all that palaver, and there are sure a lot of interesting techniques. Once it gets colder, I may find I have gaps I haven't discovered in my limited experience, to date! Thanks also for all your videos!

I sleep “goofy”, feet left, head right, but exit my hammocks on the left. When you order a Wooki you have to specify the way you lay diagonal in the hammock. The UQ is then built to match that lay so you will always need to sleep that way.

Since I don’t switch my lay I’ve never had an issue. I find the design works well at keeping the down where I need it without adding unneeded weight. Easy to adjust too from inside the warm hammock on a cold night.

And like the great and all knowing Shug said, any quality UQ will work well on a Chameleon. Check out his awesome YouTube videos if you haven’t already. The Ultimate Hang is a great book too if you’re new to hammocks.

Thank you, Hatchet. Good explanation. In thinking back on my maiden voyage in the Chameleon (I first had a JRB Bear Mtn Bridge), I believe I was head right, feet left, too. I'm not sure why. I was hanging over a downhill slope, and the hill sloped down hill to the right. But, I got in and out on the right for whatever reason. I may be all crossed up, as well. I've got the Ultimate Hang book, but I haven't checked it out about the UQ issues.

No idea if this is standard practice, but I connect my UQ with both the foot and head side primary suspensions much tighter than the other side in order to have the quilt hang more diagonally like my body does.

Tpatter. I might have been just plain lucky in the way I hung the JRB MW 4, the first time around. That is a great idea to change the tightness of the UQ suspension, if necessary, to allow the UQ to hang more diagonally. Thank you for your thoughts.
