Out of stock. Did you buy em all up already?

The HDs have been my favorite for a while so this a bit alarming.

Thankfully I have a good supply but it's still not good because they were my go-to recommendation. I should email him and see what's up.

Let's propose a group buy.. I'd buy a few backups.

I have a ton of the skinny Ti hooks from all sources. Amazon, Vargo...
I carry two just for tarp doors, but I wouldn't trust them for ground corners.

What was the meaning of the "HD" in the model name of the Lawson hooks: high density?

I found these as a possible replacement but without the specs of the Lawsons it's hard to compare weights and lengths.

Heavy Duty would be my guess.

The Trail Designs stakes are just a wee bit heavier duty than the run of the mill Amazon ones. 3.5mm diameter for TD vs 3mm for the TiTo ones (for example).

I don't have any Lawson HDs otherwise I'd throw up all the measurements.

I can't personally confirm, but this site gives a good breakdown of the Lawson specs.

Thanks for that. It did not come up in my Google search.

    Source for Shepard’s Hook Stakes

I donated my micrometer, so no exact measurements, but to the naked eye the difference is obvious....

Lawson HDs on the left & Vargo Ti on the right.

Yes, my pack weighs 70lbs, but it's all light weight gear....

Lawson HD 11.15g or .393 oz.

Lawson std 6.54g or .231 oz.

Std is about 3mm and HD is about 4mm.
