I have a 40° Trail Winder, which I love and have taken down to 40° as advertised with no CBS. Anyone have a 20° model who can attest to the same?

My son has one and has used it down to 23deg and been warm. He was in a 15deg mummy bag.

Whew! I just got a shipping notice from Jared. I’ll let you know very soon! Moroccan blue and 20 degrees too.
Jared is fantastic! I have always received excellent service and product from him. I wish he made top quilts.
I’ve had my 10-degree down in the 20s, and felt warm enough I figured it could go colder. Favorite UQ by far.

I have a 20 and went to the thirties. Upper thirties. I sleep cold. Like 20 higher than ratings. I was still ok. I stacked my 40 under the 20 and all was toasty. I’m a terrible gauge for temp ratings.

I've asked him about a down Trail Winder, and he said that he doesn't like working with it- partly because it's very messy, but mostly because he would have to have a completely different setup dedicated for working with down. He feels he wouldn't be able to remain as efficient as a one-man operation if he added the additional complication to his process.
I can certainly understand his position. Jared has built quite a reputation for his speed and efficiency at which he is able to turn around custom gear. This really is his competitive advantage over the other cottage vendors, and I'd hate to see that compromised.
