Well it took some time... But I ordered my fabric from ripstopbytheroll.com
    1.6 hyperd for the hammock.
I'm going to try the pattern made by jellyfish but then as a single layer.
    The nova hammock
    http://jellyfishreport.blogspot.com/...mmock.html?m=1

But I'm still doubting what tarp I'll make. I ordered 8y of membrane silpoly.
    My thoughts are
I would like to use the tarp on the ground too. When I hike in Scotland the weather can change quickly and wind can turn directions. I now have a myog trailstar so I could keep using that.
Or I could use this tarp as an a-frame and make sort of a clip in beak for rain and wind protection at the back. Like the hmg echo 2 (but larger )
But that would mean I'll have to lower the back with a cat cut. Is that usable on a hammock? So 1 side would be approx 9ft wide and the other 7 or 8. With a total length of 11ft.

Or should just keep using the trailstar and create a hex tarp for the hammock?

    Any tips are greatly appreciated!
