    WB XCL and roll factor

    Hi.

I recently had the option to swap out my old and beloved original Blackbird to a XLC model. And so I did without thinking anything than that would be an upgrade. However in the XLC i can't find my sweetspot and it feels like the hammock pushes me into a slight roll towards the opening all the time.
Does anyone feel the same and have you figured out how to lay to avoid this?

Have you read the Warbonnet Hammock 101 instructions? Some good tips in there to assure the best hang with BB and XLC.
May give some insight in helping to cure your problem........https://www.warbonnetoutdoors.com/hammocks-101/

To prevent the feeling of rolling, tuck a small pillow or folded blanket on the side that you want to stabilize. It "locks you in" as I like to describe it.
The game is the best teacher.

I spent 2 weeks trying to find the sweet spot on my XLC. And when I did, it was unmistakable.
I found that I needed to put my shoulder right next to the zipper and make sure my feet were deep into the footbox. When I first get into my hammock, I notice what you are describing and then I do a butt shuffle to get a more diagonal lay and fall into place. The slightly longer XLC may put your lay a little different than what you're used to.

    Hi
I gave up and slept on the floor, not really lol think my blackbird is just right for me but it does take a bit of playing with, foot end for me is about 18inch higher then head end,as other blackbird user said, bit of bum shuffling helps a lot, I never just jump in it and bingo found sweet spot, takes a bit of wiggling to get comfy

Haha thanks for your replyes. I guess I need to do a bit of but shuffling and raise the foot end. Mine is higher but not that much so maybe that will do the trick..
